The Vision Center physicians named to the list are: Dr. Mark Borchert, director, Eye Birth Defects and Eye Technology Institutes; Dr. Jonathan Song, director, Cornea Institute and Dr. A. The Super Doctors and SuperDoctors.com site is managed by Key Professional Media of Minneapolis, MN, which also publishes Super Lawyers, Super Dentists and Law & Politics magazine. The company publishes Super Doctors listings in Florida, Kansas and Texas. Selection for SuperDoctors.com is based upon peer recommendation. Thousands of ballots were sent to local physicians asking, “If you needed medical care, which doctor would you choose?" The intent is to identify those doctors most highly regarded by their peers. Doctors may not self-nominate or pay for listings and safeguards are in place to prevent ballot manipulation. The nominees are grouped into 30 medical practice areas and then checked to verify information and professional standing. A blue ribbon panel of medical professionals makes the final selection based upon a point score that includes the balloting response and panel recommendations.
